We’re gonna try to bring the Bonneville back to life this weekend. Needs a battery charge to start. Gonna get it cleaned up and washed.
Overall, it needs a new paint job, new tires, a new top, and seats need reupholstered. Mechanically, the car is really good.
Hopefully it can participate in some car shows before it gets too cold.
Can’t wait! I will post pictures, and maybe even video of the car when we get it going this weekend.

Wow for how long those panels are, they look pretty straight and solid.
Good luck!

They absolutely are. My mom and stepdad bought the car for $4500 back in summer of 2007, and it looked great even then, in black primer at the time. The paint job you see is a one day outside paint job by my stepdad that same year.
And yes, everything on that car is straight and solid. Except the top. It’s rough. As are the seats, like I said.

That’s outstanding. I love these old Ponchos.
How bad is the paint? I could see expediting the top and interior - as well as getting it running and moving, of course - and just driving it for the season. Keep us posted!

The paint is 20/20. Good from 20 feet away going 20mph. It was a single-evening Autumn paint job in 2007, so there’s dead bugs and stuff stuck in the paint. Overall it’s pretty good though.
Yeah, we’re gonna try to expedite those a bit.

Hopefully so. As long as the weather works out in our favor.
